Always wear protection: How to protect your energy in the most negative work environment.

You can physically feel the negative, heavy energy when you walk into a prison. Use these tools to protect yourself from being brought down by the energy of your environment.

Everything is made of energy vibrating at different frequencies. You feel this and respond to these frequencies whether you realize it or not.

How would you describe the energy of walking into a prison?

The energy is so heavy, dark, low vibration you can physically feel the weight on your body making you feel heavier and slower, like it takes more energy to walk through it. You feel yourself shift and change your physical posture, your facial expressions, and your mindset. You can easily blame the negative environment for everyone’s bad mood, shitty behavior, and general sense of misery.

Think about a time when your supervisor walked into the room without saying anything and you just felt in your gut they were in a bad mood. Can you tell when an inmate is lying because what they’re saying just feels off in some way? And not just because you’ve told yourself you can’t trust any of them. Do you know which ones feel more honest and like they’re just doing their time so they can go home without ulterior motives? Can you feel when a fight is about to happen because something just doesn’t feel right, it’s the wrong kind of quiet?

But it’s not all doom and gloom. Think about when you’re about to go on vacation. That last day of work you’re less affected by what happens because you tell yourself, no matter how bad the day is, you’re off for the next week and maybe even going somewhere warm and sunny so you’re untouchable. You feel lighter and less bothered by the regular bullshit.

And what’s your energy like when you’re working with a good coworker? You look forward to working with them because they aren’t negative and complaining about the job or their personal life. They crack jokes, have positive things in their life to talk about and are encouraging and supportive. They feel more positive to be around and it changes your mood, lifts you up just being near them and makes the day go by faster and more tolerable.

    Misery loves company.

Negative people are like a black hole sucking in other people into their darkness, so they aren’t alone. After all, abandonment leads to death on an engrained biological level, so the brain tries to avoid it at all costs.

There are a couple reasons they choose to focus on the negative.

They want to stay in the darkness as protection from anything positive that they believe will only cause pain. Positive events don’t last, either naturally they are time limited or there’s the risk that it’ll be taken away or if it’s a person, they’ll choose to leave. All of which leads to disappointment, loss, grief, pain.

They want to feel better and can do this by comparison. If they can bring someone lower than they are, make them feel worse than they do, then by comparison they must be better off. These are the people that talk shit about coworkers, spread rumors, create drama. They try to bait you into conversations complaining about anything from politics to relationships just to get you to share how awful your life is so they might hear your situation is actually worse than theirs and if it’s not, there’s a rumor that’ll make it so.

    We’re all vibrators.

If you have two guitars in a room and strum the string of one guitar, the same cord of string on the other guitar across the room will vibrate. This is an example of the law of resonance which just says that like energy attracts. More specifically, the frequency of your thoughts, emotions, and experiences will attract similar things (people, situations) vibrating at the same frequency.

If you walk into an environment where the vibration is very low, your energy will start vibrating at the same low frequency which results in changes in your thoughts, feelings, and actions. But if your favorite coworker walks in with a higher vibration, you have the power to choose to stay connected to the low frequency of the environment or to match their higher frequency. You can choose consciously which guitar string you want to be in harmony with. Where your focus goes, energy flows.

When surrounded by negative people and situations, it takes more effort until you’ve done it so much that your natural frequency is higher than your surroundings and can’t resonate with you. It simply can no longer match you.

    Ways to raise your vibration:

    • Positive thoughts, mindset, self-talk.

    • Always having something positive to look forward to, end of your day, your week, a fun event planned once a month, there needs to be a light at the end of the work tunnel.

    • Music that lifts your mood and brings back positive memories.

    • Always be pursuing a goal, dream, project, creative outlet. There’s more to life than work.

    • Exercise, dancing, going for a walk, moving the energy through your body and creating endorphins that boost your mood.

    • Laughter. Stop taking life so seriously, watch more comedy less drama tv.

    • Surround yourself with other positive people, in real life, on social media, YouTube videos, books. Follow people who inspire you and remind you that you’re more than just the job.

    Energy Protection

The brain doesn’t know the difference between imagination and reality. You know this when a dream can cause physical reactions as if it was really happening…and I won’t talk about those dreams here. But there’s dreams you wake up feeling angry, panicked, afraid, as if it really happened. You have the emotional response and even the heart racing, sweaty, teeth clenched physical response all from your imagination. So, let’s use it for something helpful.

Visualizations are just using your imagination for a specific purpose. The more you can use your entire brain, the left-side data of the actions described, with the right-side emotions, and all your senses, the more real it’ll be to the brain and effective.

    Energetic Cords

Emotional connections can be referred to as energetic cords. We attach them to people and places. It’s what it feels like to be attached to your childhood home and feeling sad if it’s sold or burns down. It’s just a physical, inanimate thing but there’s an emotional attachment to it and you feel it.

Ever think of someone randomly and then you bump into them at the store, or they call you even though you haven’t talked in a long time? That’s an example of using the cord to send a signal to the other person that you want to reach out and connect, or they’re doing that with you and so they pop into your head.

Strong emotional attachments, feelings about a person, situation, or place, forms cords that can drain our energy and keep us thinking about them long after they’re gone. Like not being able to stop thinking of work even though you’re not there.

    Cord Cutting

Visualize a cord, chain or rope between you and the person you have an issue with, or the worksite itself. Imagine using a powerful tool and see yourself cutting through that chain that’s keeping you tied down to the person or situation. This could be a sword cutting the rope, a chainsaw cutting through the links, a torch setting the rope on fire. Whatever is powerful to you. Release your energy, thoughts and feelings attached to that person or place and allow yourself to let it go as you see the cord cut. You can even say “I cut this cord” three times.

Each day you leave work, imagine the cord from you to the building being cut. Make it as detailed visually and emotionally. Feel empowered being the one cutting the rope. Feel the weight lifted from you and sense of freedom while you consciously choose to let it go.

    Energetic Shower

Once you leave work, even on your drive home, visualize yourself standing under a shower washing away all the black, heavy energy of work that looks like tar wanting to stick to your aura, the energy field surrounding your body. You can imagine it being a waterfall in a tropical place washing you clean or a shower of pure white, cleansing light washing over you.

    Shield of Protection

On your drive to work, imagine yourself surrounded by a shield of energy protection. Again, make it as visual as possible. Your aura is an egg-shaped bubble that surrounds your physical body. You can see this egg shape become like a hard shell that no negativity can penetrate. Or imagine your shield as a suit of armor with your own personal crest on the chest plate that represents your power and strength to do this job. What are the colors? Just remember to take down your shield when you wash away the energy, so you don’t shield against loved ones you want to let in emotionally.

    Crystals

Crystals each have their own energetic frequency, as do colors, sounds, and light. If you can’t wear crystals at work, keep them in your car to be within your auric field or wear them when you’re out of work to help absorb any negative energy you’ve been exposed to or clear it away.

Protection stones: almost anything black, onyx, tourmaline, obsidian, hematite, tiger’s eye

Clearing stones: clear quartz, selenite. You can use a selenite wand and trace the outline of your entire body which will clear your auric field.

    Higher Power

Briefly I will include the importance of calling on higher power. Whatever your religious or spiritual practices, prayer from the emotion of belief and faith does raise your vibration. The most known protector is Saint Michael, protector of law enforcement or Archangel Michael with his flaming blue sword to cut cords and protect anyone who calls on him.
